Invites you to a Pot Luck "Eat-In" Supporting Slow Food USa's National Time for Lunch Campaign and the reauthorization of the Child Nutrition Act in Congress.

Slow Food USA is planning a national public potluck to draw attention to the need for Congress to pass a better Child Nutrition Act that increases healthy, local food to schools. Our Eat-In is part of a National Day of Action when thousands of people across the country will shar a meal to demonstrate our commitment to increasing healthy, local food in school lunches, supporting and growing our schools garden programs, and connecting local farms and farmers with school lunch programs.

Olive Oil Tasting Workshop 6:30 - 8:00pm

Apollo Olive Oil and Slow Food Shasta cascade are pleased to co-host an educational olive tasting workshop.

Come meet some of our great North Stat Olive Oil producers, many of whom received rave reviews in Cook's Illustrated (September 1, 2009). Learn the sensory techniques for tasting that include judging the clarity, aromatics, and particular flavor attributes present in olive oil.
